Harmona was designed and built by Ervin Stevens, an uncle of the late David Stevens. She was launched in 1963 at Western Shore, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Her first owners were Douglas and Muriel Oxner of Lunenburg.
Her hull is pine on oak with lead keel, bronze keel bolts, 9 foot 10 inch beam, 6 foot draft, 37.5 feet on deck, a 27.25 foot waterline and accommodation for 6. In 1986 Harmona was purchased by Lamont & Carole-Anne Mosher of Kingsburg, Lunenburg County, and moored at Lahave River Yacht Club. In 1989 she crossed the Gulf of Maine to Gloucester, Mass. for races with the American Schooner Association. Harmona has competed vigorously for the fabled Oxner Pot and has won it many times.
Cheryl Marshall purchased Harmona in 2005. Harmona is now in Bras D'or Lake, Cape Breton.
