2010 SAILING & EVENT SCHEDULE
July 1st Race (Saturday, July 3, 2010) – Rope Loft, Chester
The inaugural race of the NSSA season will take place in Chester this year. Schooners are welcome to gather at the Rope Loft on either Thursday (Holiday) or Friday and race on Saturday and depart on Sunday. The Great Lunenburg Schooner Race (Saturday, July 17, 2010) – Lunenburg Harbour
This race takes place on the 3rd Saturday in July. Planned events are an opening reception on Friday, July 16, 2010. The race is on Saturday, with a Skippers meeting at 10:00 a.m. on the wharf in front of the Museum. After the Race there will be a trophy presentation and a Pot Luck at the Dory Shop.

NSSA MICA Island Cruise (Saturday July 31 – Monday, August 2, 2010) – Mahone Bay
Schooners will gather and have a cruise to a couple of the MICA Islands. Rest, recreate and enjoy the islands with the NSSA Schooner fleet. Masons Island is the proposed location for Saturday evening, but for all of those schooners interested, please contact the Executive for details.

Covey Island Boatworks (DATE and TIME TBD, Stand-by) – Lunenburg
" The expectation is that Farfarer (previously M2), as her owner has now named her, will be launch sometime this summer, we hope July.
Mahone Bay Regatta (Friday, July 30 - Sunday, August 1, 2010) – Mahone Bay
The Mahone Bay Classic Boat Festival is not being held this year. In its place a number of individuals are trying to put together a Regatta for all types of vessels including a schooner class.

Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival (August 5-8, 2010) – Lunenburg Harbour
NSSA Schooners are welcome to attend the Folk Harbour Festival. The schooner American Eagle is planning to attend the festival and has asked the NSSA Members to come out and play. NSSA Rear Commodore is planning to attend, so he would be able to answer NSSA members questions.
Chester Race Week – (Wednesday, August 11 - Saturday, August 14, 2010) - Chester
Unfortunately Chester Race Week and NSSA Race Week conflict with each other this year. However, if 5 schooners can get together there will be a schooner class. This is something that the Chester boats are usually up for but it is getting the five together that is a challenge.

Chester Classics (Saturday, August 21 – Sunday August 22, 2010) – Chester Harbour
